Heather Maclean, mother of three, is the founder and President of Little Laureate, the foremost provider of premium, high-quality developmental products for small children and their caregivers.

Named one of the “16 Best Entrepreneurs in America” by Sir Richard Branson, she accompanied the adventurous business legend on a 50,000-mile trip around the world, alternately helping improve the lives of others (designing sustainable development initiatives in South African villages) and fearing for her own (rappelling out of a Black helicopter in a Moroccan sandstorm).

A seasoned entrepreneur, she has founded three successful businesses: BuyNow, a subsidiary of Internet pioneer buy.com; BabyGizmo.com, the Web’s most comprehensive baby product resource site; and of course, Little Laureate.

She is also an accomplished speaker and author. Her first book, The Baby Gizmo Buying Guide will be released by Thomas Nelson in February 2008.

Heather is a former Disney executive. She launched several of the company’s first, award-winning websites. She was actively involved with the Disney University and the Disney Children’s Center, and holds the distinction of being the first person to ever answer Mickey Mouse's email.

She graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Literature. When not castle hunting in her husband’s native Scotland, she fills her days with her two little girls and baby son.
